In the time since my last post, my parents and grandma came to visit me in Utah all the way from Indiana. It was so great to have them here. My dad and Nick replaced the shed doors and then we painted the whole shed. I just need to finish up the trim. My grandma discovered we have the biggest rhubarb plants she has ever laid eyes on (which is really neat b/c she totally has a green thumb) and made us rhubarb crisp. My mom, well, I love her, but she's my mom and we butt heads frequently. They flew in and out of Denver, so we went back over there a couple days early with them and went sightseeing. We went to a wild animal sanctuary and a gold mine.
I've been doing lots of gardening this week. Well, mostly pulling weeds, but you have to have a little boring to enjoy the delicious veggies later. I also planted some annuals in our front flower bed since they were on sale at Walmart for only $1. Hope they make it, I guess it's a little late in the season, but at least they are pretty for now.
Monday morning bible study has been rough. I was warned though. No one has time, or wants to take the time to do their lesson or show up in the summer. We have had about 3 women each time, so that is something. Hope they are getting something out of it. It is very hard to get motivated though when you know there won't me much of a discussion on the topic b/c they haven't done the work.
Well today is the 4th so we volunteered to pass out water with the church's info on them at the parade. Hopefully that will spur some people into coming and learning more about VCC and more importantly about Christ.
Today is also the first farmers market for the year. I have been debating if I want to participate or not. It's only a couple hours on Saturday morning, but seems like when ever I try to sell things, people just don't buy...
Oh one last piece of exciting news, our friends here just had their first baby a boy (as far as I can tell through facebook, trying to give them space). So exciting, the thought of a new little person coming in to the world. What a blessing!
